The real reason it's hard to find isn't because it's mega racist.First off, it just didn't sell very well when it came out. Then in the mid 90s the rights were acquired by a pro-eugenics super racist who tried to make it the 'official' book of his movement. The Raspail estate didn't like that so they revoked the English rights and just sat on them for years.The reason you're hearing about it again is because in 2025 the rights were reacquired and the new publisher had a publicity stunt where they pretended Amazon was banning them for mega racism.

The author clearly describes browns as an invasive species making everything worse. It leaves very little to the imagination, and it does happens by the end. However the browns are basically a non-sentient destructive force. Raspail doesn't insist on them more than needed because the central theme of the book is the psychology of the cucks that desire, embracing or plan the brownification, and their repression of any dissent against it.

I got almost twenty chapters in before dropping it. I agree with the book's argument and there are some interesting themes raised, but the story and prose are nothing to write home about. But you're right, it's not really all that racist, which makes sense as Raspail's other books are quite sympathetic to nonwhite cultures.
