Honestly, it’s Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The man writes Instagram captions so profoundly sterile they’ve evolved into a new genre of speculative posthuman literature.Think about it. Stuff like: “Grinding. Focused. Back to the gym. Cheat day pancakes the size of a steering wheel.” That’s not motivation. That’s dystopian AI trying to simulate human joy. Isaac Asimov gave us the Three Laws of Robotics. The Rock gave us the One Law of Gains: If your delts aren’t casting shadows, you’re not living right. Have you ever read the ingredients on his energy drink? It’s basically a Lovecraftian incantation. I drank one can of ZOA and astral-projected into a Best Buy where I wept openly in front of a wall of 4K TVs all playing Fast Five on loop.Modern science fiction isn’t about space anymore. It’s about vibrating with protein induced clarity. The Rock isn’t an author. He’s the singularity. He is what Asimov feared and dreamed of.. You don’t read him. You metabolize him.

Honestly? I don't really read a ton of modern sci-fi writers, but I don't think anyone could truly be an "Asimov of modern times." His ideas and presentation were thoroughly unique. There can't be a new Asimov because the era, stresses, and emotional complications cannot be innovated once they are already established. He was unique because he was essentially the first to establish an extended set of potential ethics around AI.
