Do you ever feel like being nonbinary is what would likely best describe you but somehow if you apply this label to yourself it seems like such a bullshit useless made up thing.
Sure the current gender binary is an imposition of the west, let's say, but it still means that in current society you will only be seen as either a man or a woman.
People's minds will automatically put you into one or the other category, if you are androgynous they will still try to categorize you and eventually you will be seen as male or female.
Therefore I see no point in it.

realistically theres never going to be a way to present as anything other than man or woman in western countries
our concepts of the genders are so broad that there is practically no way of presenting yourself that falls outside of them

99% of human societies have had gender binaries
most examples of third gender roles are really just opposite gender roles. Homosexual males having female gender roles is not a third gender.
people will always see you as a man or a woman for the same reason why you either take estrogen or testosterone but there's no third kind of sex hormone

Not personally but I do think non binary identities have no material reality currently. I, a tranny, can understand that you are nb and will have no issues using whatever pronouns you like but it's unrealistic to expect that from normies.
Another problem is that many non binary people in online spaces like to leverage their queerness and more ''radical'' identities against binary trans people just like cisgender society does.

No it isn’t, otherwise you trannies wouldn’t be killing yourselves because you can’t transverse that gender binary. Every society in history has had the exact same gender roles. Just because there were some cultures where men wore tunics and kilts or whatever I’d bit the equivalent of wearing a dress and does not mean that they were submissive and feminine home makers. honestly i think the existence and popularity non binary identities have made it so much more difficult for trans people to ever be taken seriously. i see how people try their hardest to go against gender norms and it always ends up looking like such a hollow existence where their entire personality is centered around being different.
