Sold more in pawn shops than new, you wont notice a single difference
>all those NFA cope """pistols"""
why keep manufacturing braced pistols or stockless SBRS when you can finally uncuck your supply line and make real guns
and seriously who the fuck actually bought a Vaquero

>Are they going to make only 10/22s?
They are keeping their AR-15, RXM (Glock clone) 10/22, Ruger Wrangler, 5.7 pistol, and possibly some other things I don't remember.

Shareholder value must go up so they can report even more profit this year. If they don't profitmaxx and make line go up that means their company is dead, even if it means gutting themselves in the process. I'll bet dollars to donuts they wanted to axe the mini and the 10/22 and only push strikerslop but it's only thanks to cuckstates and the canucks that they're allowed to live (for now)

What about the lcrx

A
Anon10/20/26, 23:20No.65601539
Few people wanted the revolvers nor the hunting rifles and if they did, used gun stores are full of high quality used-once examples. For the PCC stuff it probably wasn't worth maintaining the product and marketing it in the ban states because nobody was buying that junk in the free states.
A
Anon10/21/26, 00:15No.65601658
the only ones of those im surprised about are the lrc. and to a lesser extent gp100. mostly cause i thought the lcr was doing good and theres nothing to replace the gp100.

Boomers are dying and revolvers will mostly die with them.
Sure a few will stick around but they are the smart thing to end production of first.

Everything is totally going good guize. Also can we at least have the non-gay Savage logo back now?

Makes sense as revolvers make 0 dollars and 0 cents unless it's colt of S&W. Plus the Rxm taking off and Beretta taking over has to factor in

In a perfect world they'll introduce a CZ75 copy with a steel frame but this is not a perfect world.

A
Anon10/23/26, 13:58No.65605591
Nothing is confirmed, but the way they talked about it, it's implied that they are going to bring more revolvers back for around 2030, be it the same designs, with updated manufacturing or/and designs, or optionally replacing some with new designs. That COULD be just trying to ease customer's minds, but consider that they once discontinued the Mini-14 for a while to then bring out an improved and updated one later.
The Security Six and Speed Six revolvers were very popular, so popular you can still find them used for pretty reasonable prices, but Ruger discontinued them and replaced them with the GP100 design. Perhaps the GP100 is getting replaced.

How’s Taurus for ‘vulvas these days? Sad that I won’t be able to make a Blade Runner LCR in the future
A
Anon10/23/26, 16:36No.65605921
They're not going to junk the plant or tooling. It's either clapped out or the market is saturated. If there's any demand they'll be back once they're done doing whatever is more important right now.

I don't understand this, they're killing off what makes ruger ruger, and keeping their same clones that everyone else makes? Company must be doing real bad to pull a stunt like this, I doubt they'll survive but who knows
A
Anon10/24/26, 01:35No.65606922
Nobody buys the 7 different cowboy grip revolvers.
Nobody buys the upmarked mid rifles.
Nobody buys Glock magazine carbines.
Nobody buys the 1911 clone that offers no improvement from the original. That's the truth. Rugar will do fine. They don't need to cater to everyone that won't buy if their current catalog only offers little return. In fact it will hopefully reduce the cost of the current products that matter or reduce the loss from products unsold. That's basic business.

Anon10/24/26, 05:18No.65607430
There are a lot of theories but the leading one to me is
>Ruger over extended itself acquiring Marlin/Anderson/etc
>Beretta swooped in buying up their stocks and is aggressively trying to take over
>Gun market in general is down a bit except for bump in former NFA items which Ruger doesn't make
>Now Ruger has to either cut costs or sell stocks
>But if they sell any more stocks, Beretta will take them over
>So they have to cut all products that cost money to make and therefore have high retail cost/low turnover
Cheap shit sells right now but it's the ONLY shit that sells. Average Edgar isn't going to buy an $800 GP-100 when a Taurus is half that price.

Anon10/24/26, 07:54No.65607616
The Ruger GP revolver series are expensive as fuck for what they are, a do-nothing-better-than-smith&wesson cast piece of shit. And you think because these are cast, that they would be cheaper? WRONG. Personally, I never wanted to roll the dice on buying one due to the 50/50 chance of needing to RMA it because of bad timing/lockup due to Ruger not QCing this stuff. And as was mentioned by some other anons in this thread, you can get barely used Ruger revolvers for cheap on auction sights, no need to buy new.

All of the current mainstream revolvers are trash, until you go into the boutique $4k guns.I just bought a Colt Anaconda 44 magnum with the 4.25" barrel. I wanted a new hunting/hiking sidearm. The trigger return is fucked and gets stuck 90% of the time and the sights are plastic garbage. I had to send it back to Colt to get a better trigger return spring. I also had to buy rear and front sights from Wilson Combat. The only reason I bought the Colt is because the new S&W 629 and 629 mountain guns are even bigger pieces of garbage than the Colts. At least the new Colts are heavy-duty, with good timing, smooth triggers and very tight cylinder locks (when the trigger is pulled), with great finishes. The new S&W even have garbage finishes, terrible cylinder gaps, weaker forcing cones and still have the Hillary Holes that CAN lockup when shooting hot 44 magnum loads.I've never shot a ruger red/blackhawk, so idk about them.

I kind of wanted a 9mm LCR. I figure with moon clips, it would really confuse a forensics expert why the bullet is 9mm but there are no casings.

Carbines are heavy as balls and the chargers were meh other stuff does it better for cheaper also takes glawk mags

Meeeh ok? Other stuff is cheaper and as long as you don’t get turkish it’s fine

Something tells me it's time to reinvest in new tooling and they decided rebuilding those production lines (in part or in whole) was not an intelligent business decision.
A
Anon10/25/26, 00:30No.65609563
Revolvers last a very long time and are less popular than semiautomatics. The market for them is oversaturated. The PCC is going the way of the Scout rifle now that SBRs are on the table. Hopefully they can take this opportunity to cook up some cool new ideas. If we’re honest they were kind of turning into the Harley Davidson of guns.

Anon10/25/26, 00:42No.65609588
>Why?
they don't sell enough and want to concentrate on their core products. they're guns, not funkopops. people don't need to buy the same gun over and over. they're durable goods
