2020 were rough times anons. Forgot I had this photo.
I can't be alone in feeling like this hobby/industry had a massive shift around covid, no?

the only panic that caught me unprepared was in 2008 with .380. took years for it to restock in my area. oh and i guess powder for precision .308 during one of the panic but i dont do it that much that i worried.

Yeah, everything shifted after covid, not just in the firearms scene. Namely enshittification accelerated and became more accepted due to "supply chain shortages". At least I can always find ammo on store shelves now, even if it's double or triple what I'd pay in 2020. To think, I'm somewhat nostalgic for what felt like the apocalypse to normies

COVID was only when normies woke up to this. I has been a long slide starting in 1930s.

I bought out like three walmwarts worth of rifle and pistol ammo in December 2019, so I laughed long and loud through COVID and the ensuing nigpocalypse.

>this hobby/industry had a massive shift around covidimo the ukraine war did more to shift it. all the gear-centric people saw the trench warfare and lost interest in being high-speed. most gun discourse went back to concealed carry or bag guns.

2020 itself was okay, it was the supply chain aftershocks that were worse than the pandemic itself

This industry/hobby always has ebbs and flows
2012-2014ish
>mass shooting and government paranoia made everyone buy ARs/high cap mags and all the 22 was gone
2014-2016
>"quick quick buy any gun hillary is gonna win and all the guns are gonna be confiscated"
2016-2020
>calm period with surplus of ammo and guns. everything was cheap b/c trump won
2020-2022
>buy all the ammo and any gun you can get your hands on because the rapture is coming or the nigs are gonna invade your domicile idk
2022-2024
>supply chain/inflation/ukraine ruined ammo prices, steel case go bye bye
2024-2026
>ammo has remained steady but private equity is slowly ruining the industry by consolidating product lines and putting out polymer glock clone slop

There have been a few shifts but this time it was very very different. I saw more women and nerds in gun shops than I had ever seen.

2020 was bad. Sandy Vag was worse. Much, much worse.
