Today, on the military showcase event (MSPO Kielce 2026) Polish state owned military group presented a new heavy IFV prototype (that will take military tests this year) for the Polish army.
Context:
Poland made and already bought a bunch of domestic made IFVs "Borsuk", but it was made with swimming requirement so Borsuk is objectively lightly protected, army wanted a solid heavy armored IFV that will be able to take on more damage, so Polish manufacturers of Borsuk IFV crated a completely new heavy armored chassis (pic), and slapped the same remote turret on it from Borsuk (30mm Bushmaster + 2 spikes).
Borsuk IFV that can swim weights around 28 tons, the new heavy IFV is said to weigh 40 tons (+12 tons).

What are your thoughts? As a Pole I'm glad we are making a solid IFV, because Borsuk IFV is kinda a meme with how lightly armored it is because some retarded general force a swimming requirement for it like a decade ago.

This would have been really good for a proper conventional war in the 1980s

What's the name?
Swimming is Borsuk (do badgers even swim?), so the _heavy_ ver. should be, what, Dzik (boar)?

This is the future of tanks. Basically:
1. Tracked
2. Large enough to carry infantry
3. Light to medium armored only
4. Light(er) weight
5. Remote turret
6. 30-50 mm gun at most, for self defence
7. Some sort of multipurpose BVR missille which is the actual main weapon
8. If not carrying infantry, then space for sensors and comms equipment
