Learn to shoot? Anyone at all can shoot 1 MOA quite easily so if it's way above that it's the rifle or optics

The importance of crowning is kind of overestimated. A nice crown helps juuust a smidge for precision at range, but as long as the muzzle hole isn't some kind of jagged mess, it's going to be fine, it won't turn a 1MOA rifle to a 9MOA one.

Just work around it. Its bad shooters blaming a small chip or ding to cover up their terrible fundamentals.

Simple, you just have to look down the barrel. It's easier to see where the damage on the crown is if you load a round. And a pro tip is to fire it and watch how the crown changes so you can know it's deviation pattern and shoot around it
