Well, let's just put it this way. Most of my videos of HIMARS aftermath are upload blocked on blue boards because what HIMARS does to human bodies is so fucking brutal on such a widespread scale that it's hard to watch.So no I don't think anything can compare.

Is there anything special about the launch platform itself? I always thought the missiles were pretty much the only special sauce. And the ability to shoot n scoot is ofc a worthwhile feature. Btw are there any news about the Turkish batch of himars ammo in Ukraine? Afaik it was some atacms along with a large quantity of unguided (?) rockets

The missile itself is ultimately meaningless; any reasonably advanced industrial nation can make a equivalent or even better. The targeting system and support (satellites and remote sensing) are what make it useful.

Just get both the HIMARS and the K239 Chunmoo, 2 different suppliers with varied weapons types for all purposes.HIMARS for the surgical stuff and K239 when you just need to split something open.I mean the CTM-290 has a fucking 500kg warhead.
