I'm in the market for a new pistol and I want something a little more high-end. Spending limit is roughly $1500. Narrowed my purchase down to 4 pistols: 1. Shadow Systems XR920P- I like that it's slim and basically an upgraded Glock. I've heard good things, I've also heard it's overpriced for what it is. 2. Kimber 2k11 Pro Comp- Saw one while I was at the gunshop a little while ago. Smallish, smooth, and looks cyberpunk as fuck. I have a soft spot for "futuristic" looking pistols. 3. EAA Girsan Witnes 2311- I've heard its a great budget "entry level" 2011-style pistol. I've used Turkish guns before and liked most of what I shot. Their shotguns are shit though. I have considered going with the Match X in this regard. 4. MAC Cerebus- Feels roughly the same as the Girsan but, I own another MAC pistol that was great out of the box despite it being a different caliber. Normally I don't spend more than $600 for a pistol under any circumstances but, this is a special occasion and I want something "cool" but functional to shoot. I'm also cool with other suggestions that are on the cheaper side. I'm not against cheap pistols but, I am looking for something a little pricier than I'm used to. I've fired quite a few 9mm pistols (Berettas, Glocks, Caniks, Sigs, etc), and a limited number of .45 pistols (USP, HK45, 1911s, and a few Turkish ones like the SAR K2). My list is all about 9's at the moment though. What say you /k/?

Only get one of those if you want to shoot them. High-end production guns and custom guns only ever go down in value, so collecting them is pointless. Don't be that guy who bought a Ferrari 458 (something like a random 2011) and thinks he has the prestige of someone who bought a Ferrari 365 (something like a WW2 Luger, Colt Walker, etc.); one is a fun car meant to be driven, the other is a piece of history that collectors will fawn over.

Before you decide, check out the EAA Witness Elite Match pistols. They come in a number of different calibers, 9mm, 10mm, 45ACP, 38Super, 40S&W, and probably a few more.I'm pretty sure you can find one in your favorite caliber for less than $1000USD.

Save your money. 2. Hope you get lucky and spot something unique on the used market. 3. Do it yourself. You're already looking at mildly tinkered Glocks, build a fucken longslide G21 into a .45 Super. Turn a G23 into a ported 356TSW ear rapist. That's enough of a parts budget to do something FUN and buy the dies you'll need to feed whatever retarded bullshit tickles your fancy. I've got a G24 in 357 SIG on a P80 compact long frame that I use to shoot pissin hot 90gr XTP loads, and it puts a smile on my face every time I send a milk jug to the shadow realm with it.

See if any of your local gun stores sell used guns on consignment, that's where the buyer is selling it through the store and ultimately settles on the price. I have gotten some good deals this way, sometimes the LGS will even let you haggle with the buyer right there

the only gun on that list that isn't a piece of shit is the kimber 2k11, anything under 2k for a 2011 is unironically a piece of shit other than the Kimber.Also just train and get good with a Glock. I guarantee you you can't outshoot the 2011 you're about to buy.

Gucci 2011s can easily get to used car prices That said, budget 2011s can be very nice guns. I have a Witness 2311 in .45. It's alright. I just really wanted a 2011 in .45 that didn't cost an arm and a leg, and that was the only option. I recommend Tisas if your are willing to go Turkish. Best entry level 2011 in my opinion. You should also consider Springfield Prodigy. I see them at the range a lot, and their owners seem to like them.What do you plan on using it for? Is this a range toy, or are you thinking about competing with it? If you are just buying it just to buy it, it doesn't really matter what one you get.

Shadow systems is worse than a Glock, factually. The best gun you can buy for around your price range is a steel frame pdp imo. You’ll be spending a lot more than $1500 for any “Gucci” gun. I would recommend a g45/17 with a ramjet and a good holster. That would actually be about $1500 and it will outperform and be more reliable than every gun you suggested. If you care more about flexing than shooting, I would recommend a bul armory 1911. For price to appearance I think they are the best you can get.
