I like .22lr. How come all the cheap bulk .22lr is supersonic? I like using .22lr to practice fundamentals of shooting at longer ranges, and the transsonic drop in accuracy really spoils my fun. Subs are still cheaper and more convenient to practice with than .308, sure, but why do they have to cost so much more than slightly-supersonic .22lr when they're using all the same parts and need less powder?

The Henry will be higher quality. That is the cheapest and shittiest lever gun that Henry makes, but it will still feel noticeably more refined than the Rossi. I don't own either one, but you will feel a difference immediately on holding both together.

Love my Mossberg and 10/22, indifferent to the Marlin 60. I've been especially enjoying the 10/22 since I got the suppressor. CCI SV 4lyfe btw.

For such a predominant and ubiquitous caliber, there really is a huge shortcoming in terms of rugged and reliable semi automatic actions used in .22 firearms. That and the QC is skimped on for furniture nowadays. I never liked the 10/22 at all, are those two in OP the better options for a lever action .22 LR?

OP here, thank you to those who replied & saved the thread I've decided on the Henry H1 Bandit, its got what I want, along with a higher capacity. I know theres some QC issues & all, but theres really not much that matches my arbitrary criteria.

All my 22s are my grandfather's. A 10/22, that same mossberg 151 in this thread, and a very very broken pump 22 in 22 short. I want a bolt action 22 for target and field use and probably a pistol at some point. Thoughts?
