Theres a case to be made for outerwear like jackets and fleeces, but casually wearing milsurp uniforms is sperg shit. When I was a kid it was a wigger/poor person thing, but nowadays wiggers and poor people buy new from walmart so the only people you see in BDU pants are 'tismos. People try come up with rules to pass as a normal human while wearing surplus, like only wearing a single piece or not mixing camos, but I see right through them. >b-b-but college girls wear flecktarn!!! Where I live it is absurdly hot and humid for the vast majority of the year, so you will be wearing shorts and yoir choice of button up or t shirt.Personally I end up in golf shirts and a plain v neck much of the time.

I like duluth fire hose pants. Not the flex ones either, those are shit. Only the original version. They're tough and last a long time. Their shirts are good too. A bit longer than normal so my gut doesn't hang out. They're also thicker so they don't get holes in them after a single shift.

Walmart has Wrangler relaxed fit cargo pants/shorts. $19 for the shorts and $24 for the pants. Excellent pockets for pocket carrying, if you're into that sort of thing. Very roomy and very easy to quickly stick your hand into. I've also found that Dickies Loose Fit cargo shorts have similarly excellent pocket carry pockets. These aren't at Walmart and are a little more expensive online.

I was thinking about gray man philosophy in the shower today. I think its importance is overstated, and it has benefits and drawbacks which may simply cancel each other out. Could a crazy asshole shoot you in the back because you look like you're carrying, then steal your gun and run away? Yes. The best /k/ fit is the one no one else notices. Dress down. Loose T-shirt, good fitting jeans. Maybe a cheap work boot. Kitting yourself out in cargo pants, 5.11 polos, and oakly sunglasses will just put a target on your back. The best you can look to others would be a blue collar worker, not an operator. Even a DTOM shirt I think is overkill.
