Bidding early on online auctions is foolish. The only bids that matter are those placed seconds before the auction ends or when auto extend would kick in, everything else just drives up the final price. If you actually want something set an alarm near the end time and watch it like a hawk.Although sometimes an item is so niche that you're literally the only autist who cares about it, so it really doesn't matter if you had just placed an initial bid and forgot.

how do I into 1911s? I always wanted one for muh heritage and maybe the time is now. I really only care to spend up to $1000 and am looking for the most "classic" experience possible. I carry with a light because I want to be able to hit what I'm aiming at in the dark easier, it works as a standoff device if I end up having to use it when someones already on top of me, and I shoot at enough outdoor ranges after work that the light adds 30ish minutes of dusk to the end of my range trip. If you don't want any of those features or only carry in the daylight hours a WML is absolutely a waste of space and weight on your gun. For my use case it makes sense.

I'm having trouble deciding which late model wonder 9 I should carry day to day.
The hi power has a frame safety and can be carried cocked and locked, just got a grip tape glow up on the front and back straps and has the lam for indoor/night use.
The 5904 has the decocker and can be carried hammer down since it's sa/da, has the most aggressive trigger guard knurling I've ever seen for a high 80's support hand grip, and some nice dots that don't rattle themselves loose. It's also significantly lighter but has a pretty clapped out barrel. I haven't shot it in a few years so I can't quite remember what the groups look like.
Both have 17 rounders. I currently carry a backup 19 rounder for the hi power but I could easily order a 20 rounder for the 5904 if I want a stendo in my purse for backup (the stendos are a little easier to grab out of the purse). A trip to the range is probably going to make this choice easier.
