>grandpa gets hospitalized for brain bleed
>short of a complete miracle, recovery options look like assisted living at best
>everyone else already converged on his house to scavenge it like vultures before even figuring out if he was gonna survive or not
>mom brought back his truck, dog, and 5 guns, which he left to us in his will anyways
>2 piece of shit Rohm .22 short revolvers
>a 20 gauge pump and a .30-06 boltgun with a scope, both from sears
>a single shot bolt action Stevens .410 garden gun
>also a bluing kit and some knives, and a random 12 gauge barrel with no other parts, no idea what it even goes to
>2 shells for the pump and 5 rounds of .22 short, no other ammo included
The 20 gauge and .410 have 3 inch chambers. How do 3 inch shells in those chamberings compare to other cartridges? I plan to buy ammo for all of these, and if my grandpa recovers I'll gladly return the guns with the ammo.
