If tanks are battleships, and VSHORAD-IFVs or HIMARs are the new carriers, where is the Arleigh Burke of the land? Why was Quick Kill too good to exist?

Probably the Bradley. A do-anything vehicle comparable to the tanks of yesteryear in ability on top of the other roles it can fill.
