When I wad a kid, instead of the "saturday morning cartoons" our main channel wanted to try something different and aired things which were unusual for the era, like chapters from "The little Rascals" or any of the "Marx brothers" films. I had good memories from these, perhaps because they had little to no competition, and the guys producing the whole show where they inserted the media didn't care about share but quality.
