01/29/26, 02:09No.218832852I use Arch on an old thinkpad I have but I keep it mostly to download movies and books, I have some emulators and doom which I play occasionally but that's it really, I like it since I use xfce with chicago95 and it's so pleasing to use and look at but anyways I also use it when I'm gaming on my main laptop in order not to tab out of the game.
I was using Gentoo before but on old hardware the compilation times are way too much and if I'm using binaries then why bother using Gentoo in the first place, that and the fact that's way easier at least in my opinion to encrypt the whole disk on Arch.

I went to /g/ to get the debotnetted windows and have been using that instead

i don't get the point of having .exe files all have their own folder /bin/ idk i just prefer how it is in windows where the .exe file is dumped in with everything else
Linux is a pain in the ass for setting up little things like even getting it to connect with my bluetooth earbuds initially took a bit of work

Just yesterday tried using windows because I wanted to try a game, and it was awful.
The file manager was slow as shit, everything took 2x longer to load, it kept pestering me with unwanted "updates", and all kinds of other inconvenience.
