I can't stand drawing random boxes and cylinders and copying somebody else's art, I only enjoy drawing when I'm creating something entirely on my own even if it's shit

Depends on what you expect to make. I'm somewhat similar, except I appreciate boxes. You won't get good but if it's just for fun, then it doesn't matter.

No, studying and training aren't meant to be comfortable, that's the point. You will only ever find comfort doing what you're already good at, but to get there you have to struggle a healthy amount.
