Exactly 30 dollars. Few months ago a furry wanted me to draw their OC, and offered 30 bucks (was initially offering 21 dollars). Looking back it was insanely low as this took like a full day, but I figured it was practice, as I wanna do commissions when I start actually posting my art and comics (hopefully not just furry stuff, but i dont mind drawing anthros)

i live with my mom at age 27. she makes $130K a year in california as a special ed teacher. i'm willing to work as a grocery night stocker or something low-effort and antisocial but i'm not doing the humiliation ritual of jumping through hoops to make $16/hri can draw as much as i want without worrying about money as long as i stay in online school for another decade or so.

online: 0 irl: couple hundred bucks a year did a watercolor pet portrait as a gift and brought it to the bar to give it to them. Other bar patrons saw it, got my info and started commissioning me. The older folks are really nice and always offer 100$+, even for simple stuff that shouldn’t cost that much.

From September 16th 2023 up until today, I've earned exactly €8533 off of commissioned art. That's an average of around €239.60/month. Not nearly enough to get by, but I do have a full time job. The commission money is just a nice complement of funny money to spend on funny things.
