EVER around 450 but most of it was when I was 13-15 on amino. I've only made 80 recently but mostly because I'm not taking comms

0$. I feel like I could have scammed some of the dudes I drew stuff for out of a 20 but in my experience selling other stuff the cheapest customers are the most annoying, demanding and litigious ones, the fuckers will have you reinvent antisemitism from first principles. But I did accumulate hundreds of (you)s.

Exactly 30 dollars. Few months ago a furry wanted me to draw their OC, and offered 30 bucks (was initially offering 21 dollars). Looking back it was insanely low as this took like a full day, but I figured it was practice, as I wanna do commissions when I start actually posting my art and comics (hopefully not just furry stuff, but i dont mind drawing anthros)

i live with my mom at age 27. she makes $130K a year in california as a special ed teacher. i'm willing to work as a grocery night stocker or something low-effort and antisocial but i'm not doing the humiliation ritual of jumping through hoops to make $16/hri can draw as much as i want without worrying about money as long as i stay in online school for another decade or so.

A
Anon08/30/26, 08:15No.8029656
Exactly 15 dollars. Getting more requires having confidence that your work isn't dogshit, and I don't have that.

$100 or so. One guy commissioned me a drawing of his character on steam and I initially offered doing it for free because I'm beg but he insisted on paying and sent me $70. The other time was similar but the guy gifted me a couple of games on steam. These cost me all my luck for life

irl: couple hundred bucks a year
did a watercolor pet portrait as a gift and brought it to the bar to give it to them. Other bar patrons saw it, got my info and started commissioning me. The older folks are really nice and always offer 100$+, even for simple stuff that shouldn’t cost that much.

A
Anon09/02/26, 10:49No.8031801
A lot.
But that's because I moved from drawing to producing soundtrack music on commission.
Yes I still count that as art.

A
Anon09/03/26, 18:04No.8032627
Around $5-6k from commission work over the years. Pretty nice considering I don't exist online.

Anon09/03/26, 21:11No.8032761
Something like $1100 over nearly a decade (started when I was a teenager) Most of that was in the past few months though and I'm actually more confident than ever that I can make it work financially
A
Anon09/04/26, 06:57No.8033053
I only lose money at art because of art supplies and shit.

A
Anon09/04/26, 07:47No.8033066
reading this thread might unironically finally make me quit art
A
Anon09/04/26, 10:53No.8033119
From September 16th 2023 up until today, I've earned exactly €8533 off of commissioned art. That's an average of around €239.60/month. Not nearly enough to get by, but I do have a full time job. The commission money is just a nice complement of funny money to spend on funny things.

A
Anon09/05/26, 21:31No.8034024
$5,823.73 AUD since the start of 2025, but I haven't had a single order this financial year (since July) which is honestly terrifying, but it seems like a national thing happening to businesses of all sizes.
>this is primarily mixed media 3d art, not illustrations.
