Quick sketch before bed. Really misjudged the sizing and proportions here. Any tips on drawing both eyes properly? I always mess up the second eye I draw. I know I'm suppose to imagine the eye as a 3d form but I can tell I fucked it up with the right eye and also didn't place it along the curve of the head accurately.

This might not be relevant because it's not a "study"; it's just me drawing fan art. But I often struggle to draw fan art. I can draw my own characters and stuff easy, because I know what they look like and I can bend them to match my intention. But with defined characters that aren't my own I struggle so much. Like here when I drew Prince Adam I couldn't figure out how to draw his face and make it look like him. I tried a more defined nose, defined cheek bones and bigger lips but it just looked bad so I went with basically a "generic" face with no real detail. Does anyone else struggle with that?

unironically it all comes down to perceptual or cognitive resolution. memorize this quote as a guiding light.with gaijin there is a hard limit they just won't go beyond in terms of examining their shape and linework. at some point it becomes good enough for them and they can't make further distinctions, while Japan obsesses *literally* over every single sub-part of a line and how that actually looks on the screen. the westerner is usually satisfied with roughly following "anatomy" and having "correct forms" but anime goes further because it is high resolution art.

I came back to further elaborate why I don't like FateShit/Go. Not to attack the artist but just look at this weird ass comment. They do get likes and therefore anything fate will get likes. There's a bot on Twitter that promotes fate posts with a large following. I tried to abuse it before but couldn't get it's attention like I could with the NeoPets bot. Other than that, FateShit is associated with a traumatic event in my life when I lost my dog to a car accident. Somehow Final Fantasy Dissidia on the PSP help me get the stress off. Keep that in perspective in mind. That's how old fate is, it's from a movie "Kara no kyokai" I only watched it because DemolisiousDPlus recommended it. That was from a long ass time ago. Also fate has this weird fetish with masters and servents. That just fosters abusive relationship and I don't like it. I believe in sexual equality, no pegging please. I've also had a traumatic incident with my ass too when I ate too many of those gummies.

Anyone else here with a hobby of researching the long term effects of constrooction on the human mind? Everyone knows about the average controoctoid on /ic/ already, but lately I've been fascinated with this subject who has over 10k hours of drawing experience, but whose mind has been heavily modified by constroocting over an extended period of time so as to display an undeniable faux anime corruption to his creations even after all these hours and even after being tutored directly by an illustrator from Japan. I don't think it is a case of pic related with him and otherwise he has all the qualities needed to be fully Japanese tier. He might be the most valuable sample so far in my investigations.

I actually hate over the top character designs and I like the character designs of stuff like JJK, AOT, and CSM over something like My Hero Academia ,Gachiakuta or most JRPGs. Don't get me wrong, the character designs in both are great for the shows they're in. Superheroes and fantasy characters need to stand out after all. But if Eren Jeager had super spikey hair or the scouts wore outlandish gear, aot probably wouldn't have worked as well as it did.It's the fact that they are grounded and "basic" character designs that they paint a picture of pseudo-realism. Well, as real as you can get when they are flying around fighting naked giants.
