If a talentless, uncreative artist (you) makes a viaual novel the result will be a shitty visual novel, if they make a graphic novel it will be a shitty graphic novel, manga, illustration, painting, gallery collection, manga, whatever
Porn and oc/adoptables/twitter bs is not like genres and mediums, they allow shitty artists to make money because it's not valued for artistic quality or creativity but labour and/or sexual/autistic fan gratification
Most artists don't have a vision, good art usually requires a vision
And in visual storytelling art style is especially important because the style should work dynamically with the story, genre and themes so logically you should develop an art style to deliver the artistic vision and narrative
Style should be developed for the vision, if you already have a specific style that doesn't have a clear direction you're forced to retool something that isn't optimal for anything specific
This retarded mindset happens when a person first learns how to draw and only after tries to figure out why, the ability to produce images is in itself worthless so obviously being passionate about the ability alone is like a filmmaker being autistic about camera lenses and hardware and trying to come up with a way to monetize on their interest that in itself has nothing to do with artistic expression
But hey, a filmmaker like that could always shoot porn videos and movies
Now imagine a person like that thinking they're an artist
And let's be honest, people are mad at AI because its existence exposes the truth about the value of their work
Actually creative artists with a vision don't care

Kinda sounds like a cope. AI sucks for everyone, even the "true creatives", because it just objectively makes the market more crowded and makes it harder for any individual project to get noticed no matter how good it is. Also even the more original artists often rely on "commercial" work for supplementary income at some point in their careers and AI crowds them out of those markets too.
Plus if we achieve true AGI then not even "creativity" will save you because the AI will by definition be as creative as any human and will be able to pump out dozens of masterpieces a day.

You have a serious point, but I think you ascribe the blame incorrectly. The dominant medium of today is social media, the algorithms of those platforms define what will be popular and, unfortunately, profitable. In a time where art is increasingly undervalued and living costs rise, if you want to be a full time artist and not split your time with some wageslavery that dominates your life then yeah you're going to be doing the thing which the platforms demand. That's not a choice the artist makes of their own volition that's a myriad of factors pressuring them to conform to a society which cares about value generation over artistic vision.Anyway art is dead and big tech killed it, the state of Israel must be eradicated for what it has done.

This is what happens when you allow yourself to wallow in self pity, when you take mistakes personally instead of learning from them and moving on. You become hopeless and the left hemisphere of the brain tries to justify that emotion.There's being delusionally optimistic and delusionally pessimistic and no one talks of the latter enough. You stay in that miasma of self pity and negativity for too long it creates a cognitive distortion. While in reality if you just worked on making solid pieces and having a solid process you wouldn't need to be a visionary, most likely people would hire you to produce THEIR vision and after a while you may have an Idea. If you've done art long enough you'd know the majority of the time you're refining things, take that mentality and apply it to your life,refine it to make it better so you won't be so blackpilled. The work doesn't care about your feelings, it just needs to be done.
