What canvas size do you draw on? I've started to think 9000x8000 is too large. I draw on an iPad so it's especially dumb, I can't even more my arm like that most of the time.

I'd say at least 6000x6000, then crop what you don't need. There are some artists that even go above 10000x10000

What about the resolution? I usually use 600 ppi, but I can't help but think that's excessive. Sometimes, my drawing program lags.

I dont know how people draw at such huge sizes. when you zoom out then the drawing is fucking blurry and you can't do small details without zooming in. And if you're zooming in then you're basically drawing 5x more than if you drew at a normal size.

If I want to draw like Juan Ria, I have to use the 9000x9000 or I'm fucking myself in the foot
If you use less, you can absolutely make it! But you won't Juan Ria make it.

I can only draw at a small size because going bigger makes my lines look shakier and worse.
