I'm sure there are more differences, but at a quick glance two things are obvious>edges
Old paintings had more variety and softer edges were much more common, allowing the hard ones to pop out.>colors
Again, old stuff had more variety with the palette usually incorporating a much wider range of colors, new stuff is quite monochromatic in the sense that he picks one color for the subject and sticks to it, armor is pretty much always the same hue for example.It's strange that even these days he begins his paintings with a much richer palette and then ends with the most boring shit imaginable, it's not like he can't make something look interesting, he just pivots towards gray slop no matter what
