Left is from August 2020, right was made last night (October 2025). Is there any noticeable improvement in my style or have I stagnated?

line weight is more interesting, shadows and cloth are more mature. perspective on cuffs etc. but the attempt at slightly more realistic proportions revealed bigger flaws in your figure drawing than the cartoon style has. did you just draw it clothes and all? no sense there is a figure under the clothes.

There's an increase in the details you've captured, though you'd probably need to really brush up on the overall anatomy/pose/composition/gesture.Left looks more interesting than right.

It's more the lack of stylistic coherence, op. As others say, lack of taste. I have no idea what I'm looking at on the right, that moe design thing is not my world, artwise. What is she doing, why is she standing like that? You're not communicating anything to me visually. It seems...pointless.
