I made to the finals in a short comic contest.
For the final round i have to go physically there and sell my comic to the audience
How the hell do i do it without giving away my identity?
I live in south america. Wouldnt using a facemask attract way too much attention?
Its an opportunity to get my career off the ground but i dont wanna sacrifice my anonymity

If you need to sell comics physically, wouldn't that be a good thing? What's the issue? Are you a convicted felon or something? Just wear the mask and sell the comics.

Dress like a relevant historical figure? Beard, mustache, eyebrows, etc. You could go full face and make some weird persona, but I expect people are less likely to buy things from someone with their face hidden. It makes it more difficult to interact.Or, go as yourself claiming to represent the author, who is too busy to attend performing some act of historical significance. You could hand out signed "photos" (that you have drawn) of your imagined author.Either would be interesting.

Just do the Japanese thing: COVID mask, baseball cap, maybe sunglasses if it's still too obvious.Wear something nondescript like a plain fruit of the loom T-shirt in a solid dark color or a solid color hoodie if the temperature allows. If you have the funds don't wear something you actually own, go to Walmart or something and just get plain, cheap clothes. Whatever the cheapest shoes and pants are etc. and put up a sign that says: "No pictures, please."Even if people dontake pictures of you it won't be too easy to make out who you are or what you look like and hopefully the whole routine will discourage people from taking too many pictures of you.
