How to animate realistically in general? spacing and timing...maybe considering the character's body, limb, legs number, weigh etc
especially loops, cycles, or doing one of those sakuga things
Accept that human perception is flawed and embrace the further abstraction that transcends what the minds eye percieves as realistic rather than reality by itself
when you know that animation is for decieving the human perception you will know the true way

I feel like magicians or experts in sleight of hand would unironically be good at animation and timing considering they have a good understanding of how the human brain processes visual data

Are any of you people closely scrutinizing reference footage before making your walk cycles...?
