OP I think what your folds are missing is better value contrast. look into ambient occlusion, yk those darker shadows where forms overlap or light can't reach as easily.

Your main issue is that you don't understand the difference between cast and form shadows.
All your shadows here have soft edges (which usually happens with form shadows) even though you are drawing cast shadows, which should have sharp edges.
