The greatest psyop in human history was Christians convincing people that believing in a first cause = monotheism and that pagan philosophers who frequently called Jewish monotheism a superstition were actually le proto-Christians.
Most pagan religions already account for a first cause (e.g. the Neoplatonist One and the Ancient Egyptians believing every god was an aspect of Amun-Ra) and they do not equate it with Yahweh nor does believing in a first cause require you to reject the gods as demons, otherwise pagan philosophers wouldn’t have defended the traditional worship of the gods and their temples as valid.
