Do any anons in here believe Atlantis was based on a real society? Maybe they were so advanced they could create hybrids and those were the later Egyptian Gods/Greek "mythical" creatures? I'm not trolling btw. t. diagnosed schizo

>some guy two thousand years ago make up a fake society just so he can get a point across >thousands of years later random retards unironically think its real (mostly because pop culture made people remember said thing)

It was real. It was either Tartessos or Sardinia. They were advanced, but still with bronze age level technology. No magic-science bullshit, just a centralized state with a god-king and bureaucrats

>Do any anons in here believe Atlantis was based on a real society? Yeah. 12,600 years is a long time. Geologists have established many decades ago that the global water levels would have been lower because of all the water bound in the ice sheets at the poles and their weight having an influence on plate tectonics "lifting up" the borders of the American, African and Eurasian plates (where the Mid Atlantic Ridge sits today). It is perfectly reasonable to assume that some humans might have gone and settled there. No, I do not believe they awere particularily advanced - why would you even think that with no evidence? Even Plato mentions Atlantis to be similar to Greece in basically everything.
