Is there any area of contemporary philosophy that's underdeveloped and worth studying closely? Please leave out anything related to computer science (or generative AI). I want to stick to topics centered on human experience.

What do you mean underdeveloped? Like an open question that not a lot of people have pursued?In metaphysics the big questions are all around metaphysical antifoundationalism. A big one is ifgrounding necessarily asymmetric and irreflexive?The big issue is that standard foundationalist theories usually treat grounding as a strict partial order: nothing grounds itself, mutual grounding is impossible, and grounding is asymmetric. However, foundatoinalist is seeming less and less likely empirically because of physics and further it looks like this belief is really just an artifact of language. Wittgenstein essentially said that reality = words, in the sense that how we perceive reality is based on the language that we use, and that most modern (and as it was proven after his death post-modern) philosofical problems are really language misuse or mistranslation, creating confusion and the uncomprehensible philosopher meme like Foucault or Zizek who are incapable of actually doing philosophy anymore due to chronical language saturation and misuse, instead devolving in political agitators

But AI can utilise relations and analytical philosphy that was before computers only available for the sorts of Russell or Descartes and be able to compare and analyse to give enough evidence to disproof mental gymnastic and mental masturbating concepts, leaving almost platonic essentials and eternal that can be found through literature both academic and profaneThe only issue is that the machine will use uncomprehensible logic and algorithms. When you untangle knots, the movements used stay in the hands. At least the output can be easily be obtained and some consensus can be reached
But consensus will still depend on human input

Ken Wilber. Incredible clarity, depth and precision. I've never seen anyone bridge psychology, philosophy and mysticism with such no-bullshit attitude and analytical rigour.

Philosophy of language and of the mind is relatively new, even though there's already a lot of content. Meta-ethics is a relatively "new" field too.
