Many did, especially in the Greek-speaking world. Providing a backdrop to Jesus was the whole point of their existence in the first place. Most if not all of the ones who didn't were killed by the Romans in the following century.

Jesus cannot be accepted as a Messiah because he is God, so God Messiahed himself? Doesn't make sense. Making Jesus God the whole I Am ruined the religion.

Jews will always exist as long as men seek justifications for their evil ways. In jew religion, by worshiping their devil, they believe themselves to be justified in any evil they design. That is why although all original jews are destroyed, the synagogue of Satan always has a fresh stream of converts.

If Jesus was seriously going around raising the dead and walking on water, don't you think the Jews would have sat up and taken notice of a jew performing superhuman feats? Instead they rejected him as a fraud. This makes far more sense if you strip away the miracles and it becomes a matter of scripture and politics.
