“India” would never even be a unified country if British colonialism never happened. Not only that, but the term “Hinduism” was only coined by colonialists to group together all Indian religions that weren’t Abrahamic, Buddhist, or Sikh (even the latter two overlap with Hinduism a lot), these religions grouped together barely had anything in common with each other.Modern India was unironically created by Britain.
