I went through a huge Teddy Roosevelt "phase" (I still look up to him as a role model) and read basically everything he ever wrote; searched for every photo taken of him; and even read things his children wrote, etc.He definitely had some flaws, and wasn't as "badass" as a lot of people today let on. He was a flip-flopper, and could be hypocritical. He was extremely well-read, perhaps too well-read. I think a lot of his aura was meant for the 1800s, and its why fatefully he "died" so early on (actually probably killed himself), but yeah
