Why are people so offended by objectivism? I mean, it is one thing to disagree with this or that point, but to go "NOOO IT'S THE MOST HORRIBLE DUMB STUPIDY STUPIDY POO POO SHITTY PHILOSOPHER HECKIN' EVER" then not really explain why, it seems scripted. The central theme is true, if you look at "good causes" like BLM or trans rights, they often end up with a cult-like self-justified mentality that diverges from the cause, often branding the original grass roots movement enemies. You end up with demagogues trying to stifle debate and shun outsiders, you have to learn the ideology and virtue signal it perfectly or you are viewed with suspicion, and nothing is ever enough. These groups then go on to demand donations from their followers or rally their followers to demand institutions, corporations and governments make millions in donations and hire them as a "Diversity Equity Inclusion Manager" for $200k pa or something. Are these people not exactly like the "looter" characters in her novels? Are we to believe all these good causes, left wing or right wing, are not total scams? It seems to me all that money would be better spent on granting scholarships, building more classrooms, hiring more (actual) teachers, reaching out to black boys without fathers so they give up the gangster LARP and seriously consider the rest of their lives, that way more black boys from the inner city have an easier time getting into a good college. I mean, that is how I'd go about it, if I were given millions to spend and tasked with uplifting black lives. But of course that will never happen in reality the people begging, scrounging and manipulating for money the hardest are of the lowest moral character.
