Sup 4ch, I'm a journalism student at a university in the CIS, and for my trial thesis project, I've chosen a topic I've genuinely been interested in for a long time: why incest and PDF (loli) seem to be so popular in Japan, and why these things appear to be more normalized in Japanese society First of all, I'm interested in finding out whether this perception is actually true. Thx

Roger Stone here. Completely true. Nixon and I actually invented pedophilia back during the Meiji Restoration. (We're both Japanese or Nihonjin as we call ourselves.) Back then, I found eight prophetic golden tablets left by the Holy Roman Ghost. The tablets explained that we needed 60% of Japan to be lolicons by 2037 to bring about the True Rapture. Hope this helps with your research. Don't let anybody tell you that 4Chan is full of lying trolls and idiots Stone out

Normal pornography is illegal in Japan due to retarded censorship laws, which artificially amplified the demand for fetish content.

>PDF (loli) seem to be so popular in Japan, and why these things appear to be more normalized in Japanese society. If you actually research the history of these things, and what Loli actually means, you would know Loli is extremely popular outside Japan in the West (practically everything posted on /h/ is of Lolicon origin), and it is different from paedophilia, which is only popular with 1% of the population. In any case, the whole 'weird' Japan is a western misconception because what you see in Japan as weird is also seen within Japan as weird, and that weirdness also exists in Europe and the United States (it was Felix Salten, the acclaimed author of Bambi, who wrote Josephine Mutzenbacher after all). So all the weirdness in Japan was imported from the United States and Europe, and now that they have a rich culture of producing such works themselves, you have everyone, including the actor who plays Morpheus from The Matrix, saying they enjoy Lolicon (he calls it hentai, which is what westerners decided to call what was known as Lolicom in the 1980s and 1990s). In any case, the west importing weird content from Japan is something that ought to be studied, since Japanese media is overwhelmingly normal, but only that which is of Lolicon origin seems to be imported and localised by westerners (who don't know what they're consuming is Lolicon because they're historically illiterate and in denial).https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://renaissanceman.jp/2016/06/23/clarissecrisis/

No idea. What I find even more interesting is that payment processors seem to be fine with indecent depictions of little boys. You can no longer see works featuring loli, JK and high school boys on dlsite if you use a non-japanese IP but shota? No problem. My conspiratory brain immediately thinks of an agenda by the people putting pressure on the payment processors trying to normalize the sexualisation of little boys

It's really not that deep.Sigmund Freud famously stated, “Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.”Japanese culture suppresses sexuality and individualism.

>and why these things appear to be more normalized in Japanese society The topic of your thesis should be why aren't they normalized in westoid societies.

I don't know about all Eastern cultures, but Japanese culture places emphasis on the "purity" of a wide variety of things, including sexual things Japan is ironically more accepting about human bodies and bodily functions, but attempts to maintain a purity around sex, leading to a forbidden fruit effect Loli can be separated into two categories: the purity-type and the bratty-type (an autist will argue with me on this, but these are the basis of all loli characters) Bratty-type, either dominant or submissive, can be replicated by a willing adult/legal partner irl; the purity-type (typically virginal) is seen as close to real-life. I don't know the origins or the purity-type, and I don't want to explore it, but it probably has something to do with a culture of teaching/guidance, purity, and repression. Anyways, Japan got known for hentai, and lolicon came along with it. Those who couldn't get lolicon elsewhere found Japanese content, settled for its tropes and fueled demand, and it became a self-sustaining market. There is a ridiculous amount of JSTOR and other database academic literature on the subject. Good luck. >t. milf lover

I'm also unironically interested in this question and not a primary/exclusive lolicon (although I support it), and you should mention the Gamer's Dilemma (basically the "why is murder in video games ok but raping in videogames is bad" meme but as an actual sociological theory which predated that meme), specifically how Japan seems to be immune to it due to their ability to distinguish between fiction and reality, and how lolicon fans at conventions don't consider themselves to be in the same category as 3d/IRL pedophiles. You could also maybe conduct an interview on Japanese lolicon fans and see if they are more pedophilic than previous samples by a statistically significant amount (although due to divergent definitions of pedophilia, these estimates/claims range from 1 in 50 to 1 in 4, so you would need to use the exact same methodology and questions, and finding a sample would be difficult). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamer%27s_dilemma https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-30698640Also, if you have the balls to write this under your own name (and if this post wasn't bait in the first place), try pointing out that the idea of lolis (to be clear, as

The Japanese economy is molded in such a way that they emphasize creative risk and materials over financial risk. Becoming a hedge fund like the UK did, where manufacturing only still exists basically by accident, and where real life pedophiles wander without risk of harm, it's a product of neoliberal thinking and financialization. Japan didn't financialize, though low-end value products were moved elsewhere in Asia as the yen went up after the Plaza Accord; the economy simply moved into high-end manufacturing.

Allow me to inform you of a little thing happening in the 50s: Loli porn was also widely available in the west. Take a look at books being shipped by stores like Liverpool at that time.

If I'm not mistaken, decades ago "lolicon" and "shotacon" were terms to refer to the western "petite women" and "petite men", respectively. And since eastoids have lots of petite people when compared to westoids, then it is inevitable the popularity of lolicon/shotacon porn.
