hyperfocusing on a logomark rather than the target technology, utility, styleguides and UI toolkits around it is skitzo brainlet tier.the dumbo round fixed stroke width uppercase G is more readable in a tiny 1:1 dark or light bg rectangle/circle (favicon, social media avatar), easier to recognize among the other slop, easier to scale and animate than the serif ones. no critical areas of detail would disappear in a shitty crusty jpg compression image. that makes it more effective. these things are not meant to be artwork, merely recognizable and readableand being able to claim something close to a plain geometric shape like circle or rectangle of fixed stroke width or fill as yours while remaining completely recognizable is also a corporate egotism.
