Microsoft isn't asking you, it's telling you.

The solution is to install arch based distro or NixOS. You're welcome.

Buy a Mac If you turn auto updoots off, you need to manually approve update before it installs plus you can opt out and opt in for beta builds

>sign up for ESU's cuz Winslop 11 le bad >bitch about having to update Yeah people don't actually have a problem with Windows, they just love to kvetch about it and OP is a perfect example of that mentality.

Honestly, you should update and enroll in ESU. Or just switch to Windows 11. The landscape nowadays with bad actors and security institutes running AI to poke holes in any bug is pretty scary. Common sense can only get you so far.

Unironically, switch to Linux. I randomly got the urge to switch this May (I was still on Windows 10 like you) and just did it there and then. Other than the annoyance of backing up my files before I formatted my hard drive, it was pretty easy. I recommend Fedora KDE. Obviously, this won't apply if you need Windows for a really specific program

Is there any chance this could cause problems for a yohoho'd W10?

>click "update and shut down" >close virt-manager >check 10 minutes later >it rebooted and is sitting on login screen I'm not even driving windows anymore and this shit STILL comes back to bite me. How has Microsoft not bothered to fix this? They even redesigned their update schedule to be more "green" whatever that means.
