No one cares about your feelings lil bro. AiGODS are much more important than your gay snailcat hardware. In fact, you should commit suicide so you don’t waste resources (electricity and water) needed for new datacenters and vibeGODDING

Oracle might go bankrupt, but Microsoft, Amazon, and the others can bankroll losing money on it indefinitely.

>it's all AI's fault That's what memory manufacturers would like you to believe and people are falling for it. The DRAM cartel is price fixing again. Look to the past to see why it's happening: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAM_price_fixing_scandalThe fines they had to pay were laughable and it was nothing more than an operational expense. Also funny how most of the people that were part of this still work at the same companies and were even promoted to even higher positions. Hmmm makes one think doesn't it.

Never. As corporations are increasingly discovering just how useless AI is for business purposes, the AI companies will instead move into government contracts. The one thing AI is useful for is mass surveillance. While the NSA has collected decades of data on everything happening on the internet, their bottleneck has always been data analysis. With a few trillion dollars worth of AI compute power they can finally realize the dream of fully automated 24/7 surveillance of everyone on the planet. Mistakes will be made and many innocent people will be hurt, jailed and killed but that's your problem, not theirs.

The bubble will burst when a global recession happens because of the attempts at scaling it. Because right now, even if it seems like it's just "lol ram price", it's hogging all the chips and chips factoring capacity (chips that goes in many IoT). It will burst when other economical fields collapse because at this attempt at scaling IA.

As soon as investors realise China can just effortlessly copy Anthropic/OpenAI's homework and sell essentially the same service at a fraction of the price

Hardware isn't expensive, it was just surprisingly cheap before. This is the new normal, you can't open a new factory for chips in a 10 years window. Even if you had talents, investment, full legal greenlights. The Industrial revolution did not make steel cheaper, it was a sluggish 80 years of stagnation with incremental gains on steam power which got wiped out overnight by oil based engines. Same fates awaits here.So yes the bubble will burst alongside a global recession because AI doesn't build houses and grow your wheat. But the corporation responsible for it? They will somehow get rewarded even. Like all humans in history before you, the people will pay for the mistakes of the richs.
