you really shouldnt assume that glowie encryption and general gov software is if a higher standard, it's not. most software devs are losers.
There is a bunch of good software out there and groups who write reliable software like inria (french nuclear gov. institute) or the guys behind sel4, but those are total exceptions.The vast vast majority is broken shitwareor that they even know about everything going on in a modern cpu

reminder that it's the ONLY reason huawei got banned in the US, it was 100% damage control.
huawei hold a small dev "conference" in china and some huawei engineers demonstrated on stage how to use american backdoors on american hardware (I don't remember which hardware, most likely something from cisco), they laughed about it and said how thankful they were that american compromised their own security for others to spy on them.
it's crazy how this information quickly disappear from western medias, my biggest regret is not saving the conference when it was posted on twitter.>what they really say is that they want their cake and eat it too
