What are some examples of effective and less effective ways to raise money for open source projects?
Is Firefox strategy in pic related a good way to ask for donations?

I don't know, but donations you send to Mozilla Foundation aren't going to Firefox development, it goes to Mozilla's woke activities. Mozila Corporation is where you send money for Firefox.

it's called dual licensing, releasing changes under the permissive license after a reasonable timeframe, etc. sell your software, make money, hire developers, repeat, then you can give back to the FOSS world more than any single autist in his bedroom can.
