/hpg/ died because unless you want to give thousands to dan clark theres really nothing new that come out thats an improvement over the old stuff so it just became gear wank wars. /iemg/ lives due to chinks racing to the bottom so fast that it became a poorfag general monkey shitposting pit with new cheap shit released every other week to fuel it. Nature of the technology really, headphones have a lot of factors involved that get in the way of a good frequency response while iems are just a tube so any FR can be shitted out with minimal dev time and cost. The non-enthusiasts consumption of headphones and iems are flipped compared to enthusiast so getting fresh discussion to revitalize both these generals is impossible.
To add to the bass faggotry, speakers will always dwarf headphones/iems in the bass department because of the drivers inability to produce frequencies that the body can feel. Every other part of this discussion is meaningless. Consumers are retarded for wanting excessive bass in headphones but I understand the reasoning.

Is there a good DAC + speaker amp that supports headphones and a powered subwoofer out there that is like $150 and doesnt suck dick?MSI fucked the hardware implementation of onboard audio up and it cant be fixed.I bought an SMSL D1 dac to bypass it, and my A07 class D amp sounds great (like it did on my old rig with decent onboard)
But I fucked up, the 3.5mm jack is lineout and isnt enough for my headphones.So now im looking at having to buy a headphone amp with passthrough to chain to my A07, and its still doesnt have a proper sub out.Is there a better solution?

So, I want a good set of wireless headphones for TV at night/etc. I have some Sennheiser RF-120 that still work, but they need a lot of tweaking on the tuning and generally not a great experience.Right now I'm kind of between the Sennheiser RS-120-W (Almost the same model, but using a low latency BT codec instead of a RF signal I have to manually tune constantly) and the RS-175U. Kinda leaning towards the more "TV" style headsets since last I heard it's kind of a crapshoot if regular BT headphones have the latency to ruin things like lip-sync.
