they look better but it's supposed to be under tailored clothing like suits or sport coats. high waisted pants and a polo shirt doesn't really work because the formality level is different for the top and bottom half. also that double breasted suit jacket is way too short.

I just saw a tall, skinny 60yo European (take into account that 60 of age in southern Europe equals 40 of Americans) with high-rise trousers and he looked like a fucking fashion catalog topmodel. High-waist has always been the way.

They do look better and they feel better and I hate that look of a shirt tucked into low rise pants. The reason probably is that low rise became the norm or at least not a high rise and so you would really have to know what you are looking for.
