Really depends on the quality of the blades. I use mach 3s and can stretch em for like a month of daily use. I shave hard too, against the grain for extra closeness. When travelling, I've had to use disposable bics that tore my shit up after two shaves.

Just use them until they become kinda too dull then swap

Just don't shave. I'm beardmaxxing, look like a friggin' Basedjak. I've never felt more alive. Connected to the divine by beard hairs. Never change your razor again using this one simple trick!

I just shaved for the first time with a cartridge razor and went upwards because I thought I'd get a closer shave. I think I should use a safety razor
