How do you source quality jewelry nowadays? It seems like everywhere online is hit or miss in regards to whether they're selling you plated or filled crap that will wear out in a couple of months. I'm mostly looking for gold, 14k ideally, but other precious metals would be nice, too.

Pawn & Coin shops. Get to know the owners, ask to look in the scrap bin or pay a premium above spot for pieces that haven’t sold in a while to avoid the jewelry markup.

With a price like that it should be a dead giveaway as to the quality. As for if it's realistically priced, really all you can do for online shopping is reviews. Shop in person if you can. I have a local that sells tons of cheap and decent jewelry. They are totally upfront about stuff that is plated/filled and even try to frame it as a positive.
