Why do different armies wear different fashion when at war? If the goal is to be practical and effective, shouldn't that push war fasion into looking similar across armies?

Army gear is increasingly becoming standardized and minmaxxed to an autistic level. Gone are the days where a flamboyant uniform is meant to mog the opposing Army as a morale boost...
