If you were rich you'd know people do know about watches and clothes and footwear, and guys give each other shit about them. So my advice would be to stop being poor. It's just consumerism and autists attempting to flex/put down other autists.Watch autism ("I NEED to buy a Rolex!") is something I'm seeing IRL with my friends now that they are in their late 20s and want to flex that they are making real money. Ironically, the people who are intent on buying a 15,000 dollar watch are the same ones who are unwilling to buy themselves nice furniture and use 3-in-1 shampoo to save money.

Cuz it's mostly dudes and most men's clothing is boring. There's not a whole of variation in tops and bottoms so shoes end up standing out. Same for jewelry. Then you have the weirdos that want to smell like candle all day for the rest of the traffic.

I do indeed care about boots, I told my professor last semester to please stop wearing ankle boots and to wear actual cowboy boots instead.He still wears them, but I at least tried to help him, he’s in his early 50’s and has never married.

I feel a noticeable quality difference when I wear proper boots which is all that matters.
Watches, however, are a utility piece to me, in which case I own a Casio f-91w. Unless it's a formal event I don't feel the need to wear a different watch.
