Yes I went this route exactly but I was trying to goth-max instead of look Asian. Black washed me out and now that I'm blonde I look so much better and am way more popular. I think some white women can pull off black hair but it depends on skin tone. I only pulled it off on days I'd go all out with the goth styling (which was like once a month)

East Asian skin has a warmer undertone compared to European skin which is why pale Europeans don't look right with jet black hair.
