Hey guys, my cheap €40 boots are starting to break after 2 years and I've decided to invest in some better quality boots this time. I lurked this general for a bit to get a feel for what to look for and what to avoid but I could use some help. This is roughly what I'm looking for:
>My budget is around €300-400 (can stretch to €500-600 if you think it's justifiable)
>Leather
>Re-soleable
>Function over form
>Lining(?)They're mostly for casual use during colder months, I live in Sweden right now where the temperature can drop to -15C (5°F) but even so my feet rarely get cold so not sure if the lining is necessary.
I like to walk to work most days, it's 4-5km both ways (3 miles) so nothing crazy, and it's all on asphalt (or snow) if that matters, other than that they'd be used for the occasional walk in the forest.Anyone got some pointers? Picrel is kind of what my old boots looked like (I liked the look), they were super comfy and I never got sore feet even after walking for a couple of hours even though they were the cheapest chinamade trash from a discount store. I wouldn't mind something similar but I'm open to most suggestions.
Thanks.
