I have now finished sampling every BeauFort frag. Poasting thoughts below
>Vi Et Armis
incredibly strong. extremely smoky, but I can detect a little bit of tea, resin, and I think booze somewhere underneath.
6/10
>Coeur de Noir
damp grass and woods shrouded in thick smoke again.
5/10
>Lignum Vitae
some sort of smoky gingerbread cookie and lemon, and soil? Warm and christmas-like, with a very faint gourmand element
8/10
>Fathom V
very similar to Vi Et Armis, but seems to have an aquatic element with a cumin note somewhere.
7/10
>Tonnerre
smoke overload yet again; this is like a campy, wet bonfire with greens or florals somewhere underneath. It's okay
6/10
>Iron Duke
dusty leather, liquor, and smoke. almost like if you sent an Antaeus twink to the front lines to die a horrible death
9/10
>Rake and/or Ruin
literally smells like jalapeno peppers in the air at first application. Nice drydown of dusty, smoky, peppery, citrus.
7/10
>Acrasia
citrus-fougere in the air, dry wood and wine/leather up close. the opening is pretty shrill, but there's a lot of variation throughout
8/10
>Absent Presence
spicy/boozy citrus with amber. vanillic drydown, almost oriental. has more in common with rose-ouds and BR540 than it does with the rest of the BeauFort catalogue.
6/10
>Terror & Magnificence
surprisingly muted and intimate in terms of performance. quiet, gothic, and relaxing. Smoke, pine, tar.
8/10
>Sirenide
strong plastic note with florals, leather, and other unidentifiable and weird one-off notes. seems to be more of a concept piece than anything else
7/10
>The Grudge
a weird, sweaty aquatic. like glue and wet paper, or a damp, used bath towel that you picked up and smelled for some reason. gay
5/10
>Pyroclasm
sweet, synthetic, aquatic. almost bordering on a freshie, which is weird considering the rest of BeauFort's work
7/10
>Cape Wrath
the safest release from BeauFort so far. a gentle and fresh aquatic-citrus. shockingly short lived, literally almost zero longevity.
7/10
