Why hasn't the vast majority of people not being fat slobs made a comeback? Because it requires effort and maintenance.
With hair it is probably pretty taxing and ruins it though. The meme about long-haired men having the best hair because of not using tons of cosmetics on it is real.

Think about the last 10, 15, even 20 years. Everything has been about making people as lazy as possible.

>Go out? Nah just talk to your "friends" online
>Shop? Nah just order your plastic chinese shit from amazon
And so on. This is now reflected in people's appearances. They're fat and poorly dressed. And anything above this has them retort with sarcastic snark because they're so irony poisoned they don't know how to be genuine anymore.
