why are people walking with all their shit in a backpack? Unless you're going to work for the first day and gotta bring everything with you, there's no fucking reason to have a bag full of shit
What do these people have inside those bags? I walk out with my wallet, keys, and phone. Don't need a bag for that shit

i ride a street bike, so I keep a backpack with a first aid kit, a book, a spare pair of gloves, some sunglasses, and enough room to remove one of my warm layers or an extra set of clothes for when it's really cold.

Because I go to university and will need my notebooks, pencils, computer, and books, along with cigarettes, mints, water and other stuff. Either that or I'm going to the store and am about to fill it up

It depends on your needs and plans for that day. I worked in real estate marketing and would have to lug around a laptop everywhere I went since turnaround could be extreme (sometimes I'd get the photos and need to have them sent off within the next hour).

>laptop + charger>packed lunch>thermos>headphones, mouse, or other nice work accessories
If you're a wagie who commutes to work and doesn't want to eat fast food lunches every day, a backpack is borderline mandatory.
